Curing papillomas: means getting rid of them

Papilloma on a woman's neck

Papillomas are benign tumors localized on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, shaped like a papillary growth located on a thin "leg". This disease is related to human papillomavirus. Papillomas can be damaged, painful, and cause external defects. In this case, the question naturally arises about their removal. Below we will talk about drugs to remove papillomas.

Human papilloma virus is not a harmless representative of the viral flora. Not only does it cause the formation of papillomas and warts, but this pathogen sometimes leads to the appearance of malignant tumors, especially cervical cancer. In 2019, scientists published a work in which it was discovered that people have low awareness about human papilloma virus, its transmission, consequences and preventive measures.

Local medicine

Apply topical medication to remove papillomas

First, let's look at drugs specifically designed to get rid of papillomas. We emphasize that before using them you should consult a specialist.

The first medicine is a liquid for external use, containing two components - metacresol and phenol. It must be applied clockwise to the affected skin or mucous membranes with a special stick, avoiding contact with adjacent skin areas. For small papillomas, as a rule, one application is enough, for larger papillomas, repeated application (3-4 times) at intervals of several minutes may be required.

How does this remedy work? The components contained in the solution lead to the coagulation of proteins on the skin, as a result of which the papilloma disappears.

Another commonly used preparation is a liquid made from sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide. It also has a burning effect, allowing you to effectively remove not only papillomas, but also warts, genital warts, etc. v.

In addition, the solution contains:

  • nitric acid;
  • Acetic acid;
  • lactic acid;
  • oxalic acid dihydrate;
  • copper nitrate trihydrate.

It belongs to the group of local necrotizing drugs, promoting the destruction of pathologically changed tissues. This product is also applied clockwise to the affected area. If necessary, the treatment is repeated several times.

Systemic therapy

Topical medications alone are not enough to effectively fight papillomas. To prevent relapse, systemic therapy must be carried out, namely, drugs with antiviral and immunomodulatory effects.

An example is inosine acedoben dimepranol. This drug is active against human papillomavirus, helps suppress it in the body and has an immunostimulating effect.

We emphasize once again that before using any medication, you should consult a specialist.
