Medicines, tablets and preparations effectively treat papillomas

A variety of drugs for the treatment of papillomas on the body

Human papillomavirus is the second most common virus after the herpesvirus family. Almost everyone has encountered it, many are asymptomatic carriers. However, not everyone gets papillomas, warts and other manifestations of the disease. In the article we will tell you what factors affect the appearance of papillomas and how to effectively fight them with the help of drugs.

Causes of papillomas

Papillomavirus is not always active; A healthy immune system will successfully ward off infections. But as soon as protection is weakened, HPV can multiply, causing uncontrolled division of epidermal cells. Usually, warts and papillomas on the skin appear in the following subjects:

  • children and adolescents with immature immunity;
  • pregnant women due to natural immunosuppression required for childbirth;
  • Papillomas often appear in pregnant women
  • old person;
  • People who smoke and drink alcohol regularly;
  • Fat;
  • Patients with diabetes and thyroid disease;
  • immunocompromised patients, including HIV;
  • those who have undergone treatment with strong antibiotics, corticosteroids and cytostatic drugs.

Strategies against papillomas

Papilloma treatment must be comprehensive. It covers several areas:

  • Remove tumors;
  • Immunotherapy when necessary;
  • Improve general health, optimize lifestyle.

Modern pharmacology, which offers many drugs for the treatment of papillomatosis, has quite successfully solved the first two points.

Preparations for self-removal of papillomas

Doctors strongly do not recommend removing papillomas at home, they give several arguments:

  • It is difficult for the layperson to distinguish papillomas or warts from other hyperplastic diseases. This requires a biopsy, after which the resulting microscopic sample is examined under high magnification;
  • To remove papillomas, doctors use modern effective methods (cryoablation, laser, radioactive knife, electrocautery), which are not available to ordinary people;
  • Chemicals used at home can cause burns and scarring if not used carefully.

However, pharmacies today offer many products to remove skin tumors. Below is a list of the most popular ones.

  1. An effective medicine with embalming and burning effects. Its basis is phenol and 3-methylphenol - protein coagulants. The product is available as an oil solution in a glass bottle. An applicator is attached to the cap. The medicine is not expensive, one bottle is enough to remove a large number of tumors.

    For small, fibrous or pedunculated papillomas, just one application is enough. If the wart is old, keratinized, or dry, the keratin layer should first be softened using a salicylic acid patch or salicylic ointment, and then applied with the solution. Apply it to large old formations several times with a break of 3-5 minutes.

    Important!

    Removal of papillomas and papillomas on mucous membranes is prohibited with this drug. This is dangerous for your health!

    The drug is allowed for use by pregnant and lactating women (on the recommendation of a doctor).

  2. A preparation based on acids - nitric, acetic, oxalic, lactic. Price is higher than previous product.

    The medicine acts on warts in a drying and necrotic manner. Available in solution form. After use, the tumors change color and fall off after a few days. A crust forms in this place that cannot be torn off, otherwise it may leave a scar. The skin must heal on its own. Scope of application – any rough and flat warts, warts.

    Important!

    The drug should not be used on the face or genital area - the burning sensation may be too strong and there is a risk of acid getting into the eyes or mucous membranes!

    It is recommended to remove no more than three warts at a time with the drug, with a total area of up to 3 cm2. Pregnant and lactating women can use the drug only as prescribed by a doctor and under his supervision - in the operating room of a clinic or hospital.

    In addition to this remedy, pharmacies sometimes sell another drug containing acids (lactic and salicylic). The principles of use, indications and contraindications are the same.

  3. For those who do not want to burn warts with acid and concentrated chemicals, another method has been invented - freezing. This is an aerosol containing dimethyl ether and propane.

    It effectively fights all types of common warts, including plantar warts, as well as filiform and flat warts. There are practically no restrictions on use. The product can be used for pregnant women, nursing mothers and children over 4 years old because it does not contain toxic ingredients.

    The spray is applied using a special disposable foam applicator to deliver the ether precisely to the desired location. The product is sprayed for 10-20 seconds (depending on the size of the wart or papilloma). New small forms will disappear after one use, large and old forms may require 2-4 times.

    This is an easy-to-use and safe product developed by a Japanese company. Its only drawback is its high price. One bottle is enough to treat 5-8 warts or 12 small papillomas.

    There is an alternative to the previous medicine, this time made in Ireland. And the cost is a little lower. Indications, contraindications and methods of use are the same.

Immunotherapy

Drug treatment for papillomas involves blocking the activity of the HPV virus to avoid the appearance of new cells in place of those that have been removed. For this purpose, antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs are used, which are carried out in parallel with measures to remove papillomas and warts, as well as local therapeutic agents.

  1. A medication often prescribed by doctors to suppress viruses. Stimulates the synthesis of killer and helper cells, produces interleukin-2, and enhances the activity of mononuclear and nuclear cells. All this helps prevent the replication (reproduction) of viruses in cells.

    Tablets are taken orally, 2 pieces 4 times a day regularly. The course of treatment is two weeks, then take a break for the same period and repeat the treatment.

    The drug gives the best results in the early stages, when the tumor first appears, it can quickly and effectively inhibit the virus. The product is suitable for use by children over 3 years old. For them, the dosage is calculated by weight - 50 mcg/kg. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are contraindications to the use of the drug.

  2. The solution is administered intravenously or rectally as a suppository. Its basis is a plant polysaccharide that stimulates the production of its own interferon and prevents the replication of viruses. The cost is quite high. 5 tubes are enough for one course of treatment.

    In addition to the injection, a gel is applied to the skin after the tumor is removed. With such complex treatment, in 95% of cases the appearance of new papillomas can be avoided.

  3. The cream has an immunomodulatory effect. Apply to skin for 8-10 hours (at night) three times a week until desired results are achieved. According to user reviews, this drug is effective against fibrous papillomas, senile keratosis, papillomas and other defects.

    The medicine is not suitable for children under 18 years of age and lactating women. During pregnancy, you need to consult a doctor.

  4. A product based on interferon alpha-2b in the form of a gel, ointment or cream is suitable for everyone, including expectant mothers and newborns. The drug is not toxic and causes almost no side effects. It is applied three times a day to skin tumors for a period of 2 weeks to a month. Low price.

  5. The medicine contains affinity-purified antibodies to human interferon in a homeopathic dilution. In general, doctors are skeptical about homeopathy and rarely prescribe it. But the product also has advantages: non-toxic, suitable for children, affordable price. This drug should be taken not separately, but as part of complex therapy.

  6. Effective interferon induction. Available in tablet form in doses of 1 and 10 mg. The first type is prescribed for children and people over 65 years old, the second type for adults, except pregnant and lactating women.

    The drug should be taken hourly - with equal breaks, so the effect will be maximum. Course – 10 days. Tablets of 1 mg are taken three times a day, 10 mg - once.

    The drug is completely non-toxic, well tolerated and can be combined with other drugs.

The second time it was a pity to spend so much money, I bought a spray made from dimethyl ether and propane to try. my head was afraid there would be no effect, after applying I had to wait 10 days. During that time, I almost forgot I was removing the papillomas, but one day I got out of the shower and theygone – my neck is clean. "
  • "I tried many times to remove warts on my hands with acetic acid. It was very painful but the warts disappeared. Yes, then new ones grew in the same place. Apparently, the acid did not burn off completely. DoctorThe doctor recommended a phenol-based fire extinguisher. After using it for a week, the wart completely whitened, fell off, and never appeared again. "
